What kind of person do I want to be?

  • I want to be someone people can trust/like. In life, there will always be people who would rather point out negative aspects about you, but i've realized that sometimes it comes from a place insecurity within themselves. So I try not to take it personally.

  • I want to be a person who uplifts and not drag others down. You never know what someone is going through and how words affect them.

  • Brave. Take some risk!



What songs do I listen to that uplift my mood?

  • Brave- Sara Bareilles

  • All for us- Labrinth & Zendaya (from the series euphoria)

  • Circles- Post Malone

  • VIBEZ- Dababy

  • Godspeed- Frank Ocean

  • You say- Lauren Daigle


How I deal with being overwhelmed?

  • Talk to my close friends. Alot of the time, they feel the same way I do and they understand. For me it is harder to communicate with adults because I feel as if they will dismiss my feelings for Gen Z softness.

  • Distance myself from the source of my distress. This is not running away from your problems. Sometimes, taking time to regroup and thinking of the best way to come up with a solution is necessary. In high stress situations you are not thinking in the most logical way which could lead to even more problems.

  • Sleep! This one is my favorite. You wake up refreshed and clear minded.

  • Exercise

  • Herbal Tea

  • Time with Animals

  • Meditation

  • Aromatherapy

I can second so many of these techniques, and agree, you are not hiding from a problem if the distance enhances your emotional health.
